Bio:

The Sullivan Sisters have dazzled audiences since childhood with their unique blend of sister harmonies and fast bluegrass picking. Born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Soraya and Luciya Sullivan developed their love for American folk and bluegrass music at a young age, when they began guitar and banjo lessons at ages eight and six. Now teens living in the Chicago area, The Sullivan Sisters have performed at IBMA’s Bluegrass Live Festival, on the Woodsongs Old Time Radio Hour, the Chicago Bluegrass Legends and Banjo After Dark concert series, at Evanston SPACE, Park West Chicago, the Square Roots Festival, and other area venues. At Rockygrass 2023, Luciya won first prize in the Banjo contest, and Soraya placed third in Flatpicking Guitar as the only girls and the youngest competitors in their instrument categories. They have also been prize winners at the Galax Old Fiddlers’ Convention youth contests and the Mount Airy Bluegrass and Old-Time Fiddlers' Convention youth contests. Their music ranges from traditional bluegrass to folk to modern country covers. For more information, check out their website: www.sullivansistersbluegrass.com.
