Lifting
Some volunteer tasks may include heavy lifting/moving equipment.  Are you able to perform such tasks?

If you are a first time volunteer, please look out for the deposit payment link in your confirmation email.  First time volunteers must submit a $50.00 deposit that will be refunded after successfully completing your volunteer shift at the Festival.  Your payment must be received before we can process your application.

Previous festival experience and duties
Please list festival experience and duties you have worked in the past.  If applying for a STAGE CREW volunteer, please list all stage crew/production experience.
Do you have social media management experience?
Super Volunteers are volunteers that are willing to work as a stage crew member for 8-12 hours each day. They must have one MerleFest Stage Crew experience before becoming a Super Volunteer.  Meals would be provided.  Most super volunteers will be assigned to one stage throughout the festival.   These positions are very limited, but if you are willing to be considered as a super volunteer please check here.

Setup/Tear Down Availability
Are you available for setup and tear down shifts?*
Setup and tear down shifts include more heavy lifting than regular stage crew shifts.  Good work shoes/boots and gloves are recommended.
School Outreach Availability
Are you available to work a Thursday school outreach?
Outreach volunteers help a festival band with their outreach performance at a local school.  You must have your own transportation.  Morning outreach shifts start at 8:30am.  Afternoon shifts start at 12:30pm.  Working two outreaches earns you two days admission.

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR ALL VOLUNTEERS - Notification of cancellation for MerleFest must be received by 5pm EST April 15th. This includes any individual shift cancellations.  All volunteers who cancel after that date or fail to successfully complete any volunteer shift will not be considered to volunteer positions the following year.
